PE Update
Last Monday we had 14 students compete in the Port SAPSASA swimming carnival. They competed well and represented our school with pride. As a team they saw us finish in 4th position out of 13 schools! There were also some incredible individual results with ribbons being awarded to Olive (R21), Fergus (R22), Albert (R19), Jack (R21) and Noah (R19). Olive finished first overall in the 50m Breaststroke and has qualified for SAPSASA State Day. Well done to all our swimmers!

We have also had some clinics occurring over the last few weeks allowing students to gain exposure to a variety of sports and hopefully build interest in out of school sport. We have had cricket, baseball, softball, girls soccer with Adelaide Jaguars and hockey from the Port Adelaide Hockey club. We will also be conducting athletics day trials in the next week to select our team for Athletics day in week 9.

I would love to congratulate Emily R17, Campbell R21 and Rhys R18 on their selection in the SAPSASA State Softball teams to compete in the week 10 carnival.
Finally, we have just seen our first week of basketball training and games for most teams as well as our first round of cricket, and are now waiting for notes to be returned regarding school soccer. If your child is interested in playing school soccer and they didn’t get a note, please see their classroom teacher or myself.
