On the 22nd of February the four Year 6/7 classes were lucky enough to visit the Port Adelaide Maritime Museum to take part in the Poetry Takeover which is part of The SA History Festival. 

During the visit we were asked to take inspiration from and explore the collection within the museum. We were encouraged to engage with objects, think creatively and connect with the yearly theme of ‘Transformation’, to assist us in developing a poem to enter into the competition to win $50 Dymocks vouchers as part of the festival. 

We had such a great time together exploring the museum and writing our poems.
