Farewell
I would like to acknowledge Kellie Campbell, who has been our one of our valuable SSO’s. Kellie has taken the opportunity to accept an SSO position until the end of the year at Ocean View College. Kellie has worked with a large number of our students over the past three years.
Belinda Fabian-Foster will also be finishing at the end of the term. Belinda has been a long time SSO in our Library. She will continue at North Haven School. Her commitment to managing our library and purchasing resources to support our teachers and students will be missed.
On behalf of the staff, I would like to thank Kellie and Belinda for their dedication and commitment and we wish them all the best for the future.

Term 1 Outstanding Attendance Award
This term, there were 58 children who attended school every day. Congratulations to all of them. We could only have one winner and that student was Alivia from Room 11.
As the winner, Alivia received an Outstanding Attendance Certificate at today's assembly and a voucher from Ink Espresso.
An excellent effort!

Over the last few weeks the 3/4 classes have been working with representatives from the 'Power Community Youth Program' around living a healthy lifestyle. In our first session we were talking about the importance of having a healthy diet and eating lots of fruit and vegetables and drinking water. In today's session we used a heart rate monitor to check our heart rate whilst doing different exercises. We did a 20 metre sprint and most people's heart rate increased. Our visitors also joined us at today's assembly where we got to watch videos of the Power players talking about how they lead a healthy lifestyle.
