Well-Being Leader
Hi LPPS Community.
My name is Bronte [Stanford] and I am the new Wellbeing Coordinator at our fabulous school. I thank all who have said hello and made me feel so welcome. My background is in counselling and of course teaching. I have previously worked in Wellbeing at 3 schools in the northern suburbs and before that was teaching in the west, as it is where I was born and bred. I have 3 children of my own and simply love to help every student be their ‘best selves’. I passionately believe in strong self-regulation/self-efficacy and love to use ‘Mindfulness’ and ‘Restorative Practices’ to help every student learn how they can be successful in their learning. Over the next 2 weeks our students will be focusing on our rigorous and evidenced based ‘Striving for Success Program’ which helps our whole community prepare a solid and rich foundation of values and understandings that will support a year of strong learning accomplishments. Currently I am reaching out to a few complimentary mental health service providers and hope to be able to leverage even greater resources to support our most precious assets for our future, our children.
With the Leaderships support, Room 7 has been turned into the schools new ‘Wellbeing Space’ and is open Mondays to Thursdays at Lunchtimes so the Students have somewhere to hang out and share in some activities with each other. On Fridays, I am teaching the wonderful Room 19.
Please say hi if you see me walking through the school and feel free to make a time to come and chat if you would like to. Please stay tuned as I will share updates on our journey as they become available.
‘VIVA- LEFEVRE!’

Bronte,
Wellbeing Leader
