Principals Report
Dear Families,
Welcome back to the final term for 2025. The Term planner has been sent home with all families with really important dates.
It’s going to be a busy term with a host of activities.
Today I was slimed by the students from Room 15 at the assembly as an incentive by raising money for our upcoming colour run.
Room 15 have so far raised over $500 and have the most profiles created.
School procedures
If your child is required to be picked up early on any day, please come to the front office where our staff will ensure that your child will meet you. Please do not collect your child from the classroom. All students must be signed out by the parent/caregiver or with appropriate permission. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask our friendly office staff.
We are committed to positive and productive relationships with all community members at Le Fevre Peninsula PS. Parent/caregivers should report any concerns that you may occur as soon as possible. We have clear expectations for student behaviour and thoroughly follow up all issues raised by students or their families. Please do not approach students to discuss behaviours or raise concerns with them.
Class Placements 2026
We are working on the assumption that we will have 10 classes next year plus the Area Resource class, based on predicted enrolment.
However, I need to point out that this could change as late as the first day back next year, based on new enrolments or students leaving the school.
The placement process is a very complex and time consuming one. Our aim is to achieve the best possible mix of students in both straight and composite classes. Whilst we like to have children with friends where we can, it is also beneficial for children to mix with new groups of students from year to year.
Your child/ren’s class placement information will be sent home during the last week of term. While we do our best to have all teachers placed by this time, it is not always possible and while your child may know their room number, they may not necessarily know their teacher. I apologise in advance if this is the case.
Thank you to those families that have put any requests in writing.
Reception Transition Visits
Our new Receptions for 2026 will commence their first of three transition visits next week.
I would like to welcome them and their families to Le Fevre Peninsula Primary School.
