Sports Report
What a busy and sport-filled start to Term 4 we have had!
We had seven boys represent our school at the SA Statewide Basketball Carnival. The boys performed exceptionally well, winning the minor rounds and earning a place in the finals competition. In the finals, they finished equal first in their pool, with final placings determined by points scored against them. A difference of just three points-unfortunately not in our favour-meant the team played off for 3rd and 4th position. Our boys finished 4th out of approximately 80 schools across the state-an outstanding achievement! This carnival, we did not select an MVP, because every single member played a vital role. Each student contributed to every game, displaying excellent skills and fantastic sportsmanship. The boys should all feel very proud of their efforts.
The final Le Fevre skipping challenge has been completed for the year. Nineteen students joined a new skipping club this term.
Joining our 20 Jump Club:
· Albie W
Joining our 1 Minute Club:
· Eldana T, Dylan S-B, Archer S, Mackenzie Y.
Joining our 2 Minute Club:
· Luke B, Caleb G, Bradley S, Casey G, Bradley S, Casey G, Jaikobe M-K.
Joining our 3 Minute Club:
· Jackson D, Myah B, Dana B.
Special mention to Jasmine H and Matthew T, who skipped for an impressive 5 minutes!
I’d also like to highlight two Year 1 students for their amazing effort. Jenny skipped for 3 minutes and 3 seconds, and Xavier skipped for 4 minutes and 36 seconds. The persistence they showed was outstanding.
This term, we also welcomed two new members to the Championship Club:
· Kobie and Isabella.
Both skipped for 6 minutes. Everyone who has tried this challenge knows just how difficult it is, and these students should be extremely proud of their achievements. An amazing effort from all.
That’s all for our sports report this week. We look forward to even more sporting adventures as the term continues.
